Michelle and Maz tie the knot

Gift for Michelle and MazUPDATE!  Shortly after Michelle and Maz celebrated their civil partnership OTS presented them with a commerative plate.  Well, for those of you who weren't there, here's a picture of it.

Michelle and Maz tie the knotOn Saturday (12 July) Michelle (our head coach) and Maz held their civil partnership ceremony at Islington Town Hall, followed by a reception at the Canal Museum.  The theme was denim and flowers and, in typical Michelle and Maz style, the whole day was incredibly relaxed and a lot of fun.

A number of present and past OTS members were there to help with the celebrations, some even travelling from as far as Manchester!
Our hugest congratulations to Michelle and Maz!

EuroGames winner - on the road

Martin ShoreOur congratulation have to go to Martin Shore (OTS Vice-Chair) for winning the 10km run at EuroGames in Barcelona with an astonishing time of 34 minutes (and he did that while most of you were still in bed!).

Not only is Martin a great swimmer but he's now presenting a serious challenge to the London Frontrunners!

OTS South wows the Brighton crowds

Brighton Pride - group pictureFrom Pascal Anson:

Gale force winds and spiteful rain were not enough of a deterrent to stop the boys and girls at Out to Swim South putting on their cossies and parading through the streets of Brighton, even though half of the float had been destroyed by mother nature before the parade began. We maintained good spirit and enjoyed the swimming machine rolling eventually....ok, we were freezing cold, wet, disappointed and miserable and only forced a smile when a camera was pointing our way!

The conclusion of the exercise was that we are not sure if 15 grinning people walking almost naked through the centre of a city sends out the right message for people who are wondering if they might want to join the club. Thanks to everyone who helped...the love for your club shows!
